ShockWave 25 Tremor
What makes a great family bowrider? If you make a list of the qualities that separate the best of the midsized lake boats from the rest of the pack, you’ll probably be left with a very accurate description of Shockwave’s 25-foot Tremor.
This boat was blueprinted for the family boating experience from the tip of its bow to the ears on its prop, beginning with the 496 HO under the hatch of our test boat. The 425-horse HO gave us a very respectable 70 miles an hour, and plenty enough power to properly engage a very impressive bottom.
The Tremor drove much larger than its actual size, as we discovered on one of the roughest days of our test week. Our drivers also liked the hull’s great traction, natural lift, and nicely elevated ride. The interior layout was open and spacious, and the color and interior work justified Shockwave’s reputation as one of custom boating’s top builders.

The test team constantly commented on the boats smooth ride and how nice it stayed up on the water. It does sport an offshore look. the open bow truly makes this a great choice for family and friends. We also found the quality and attention to detail no often matched at this price range. We got the sense that this 25 food lake boat had origins of an offshore setup. The quality of the setup felt of boats from a higher class. Would we buy one? Yes we would.
